The former Margaret Mary Kearns, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter G. Owen and by a previous marriage to the late Edmund "Eddy" Eyre. Cherished mother of Donna Maillet and her husband Greg of Seeley's Bay and dear step-mother to David Owen and his wife Bridget of Binghamton, New York, Scott Owen and his wife Joanie of Charlotte, North Carolina and predeceased by her step-daughter Kathy Cauley. Proud grandmother of Jason, Christa, Amy, Robbie, Missy, Joan, Meaghan, Corry, Danielle and Nicholas and great grandmother to Jonathan and Athena. Remembered with much love by her niece Ann Brunet and her husband Marcel and their family, as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Leo Kearns and Mary Crough and her brothers William "Bud" Kearns and Jack Kearns. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) Kingston, Ontario, on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Wednesday, May 12, 2010 for Liturgy of the Word in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 pm, The Reverend Father Gerry Byrne officiating. Rite of Committal to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery.
