Margaret M. Tompkins, 83, Venice, died Nov. 17, 2006. She was born June 6, 1923, in Spray, N.C., and came to Venice from Lawrenceville, N.J. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl of Venice; a son, Duane of Monroe, N.C.; a brother, Jim Reeves of Eden, N.C.; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service later. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, handled arrangements.
