Birmingham - Margaret Louise "Lou" Woodward McFadden Douglas, 72, of Birmingham, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Roy Woodward and sister, Audrey Broome. Lou retired as an office secretary from CWA Local 3902 after 28 years of service and was a long standing member of OPEIU 2001. Her survivors include the father of her children, Larry B. McFadden; daughters, Myra L. McFadden and Marsha McFadden Mitchem (David); sisters, Doris Dixon and Patricia Wright; grandchildren, Kevin Weaver (Amy), Chad Weaver (Clarissa), Katie and Lee Mitchem; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Moss Weaver and a number of other family members. Our mother was a strong, vivacious, loving woman and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church at 3 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012.
