Margaret-Lois Miller, born in 1927, spouse of Arthur Hearn, daughter of Howard and Edna, mother of Faye, Darcy, Joanne, Terry, Lonnie, Del, Richie and Shawn, died on February 25, 2005.
Haileybury resident Margaret Lois Hearn died February 25, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. She was born in Charlton to Howard Miller and Edna Strain on July 8, 1927. Educated in Kirkland Lake, she married Arthur Hearn on September 21, 1946 in Kirkland Lake. Mrs. Hearn worked as a telephone operator at Northern Telephone from 1946-49 and was then a homemaker. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a best friend to her loved ones. Some of her favourite pastimes were working around her flower garden, fishing and, most importantly to her, spending quality time with her grandchildren. She had a strong love for her dogs as well. Mrs. Hearn was an excellent cook who was known for her famous gravy. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Hearn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arthur; children Faye, Darcy (Jeanine), Joanne (Jacques), Terry (Marilyn), Lonnie, Del, Richie (Francine), Shawn (Gwenn) and Shelly; grandchildren Jeff, Robbie, Julio, Casey, Kelly, Jody, Jason, Tyson, Lori, Kathrine, Sally, Jessica, Lindsay, Nicholas, Sarah, Bradley, Justin, Chase and Kira; great-grandchildren Drew, Anna, Trent and Emma Margaret. The funeral was arranged by Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home in Haileybury and, as per Mrs. Hearn’s request, there was no visitation or service. Burial to follow. In memory contributions were made to the CAT Scan Foundation at the Temiskaming Hospital.
