MARGARET L. JOHNSON 81, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Avon Park, Florida. She was born in Wauchula, Fla. to Arch and Eula Irene (Weed) Lanier. She was the owner and manager of the Purina Feed Store for 10 years, member of the First Baptist Church in Avon Park, member of Campers on Mission, Director of Woman' s Missionary at the First Baptist Church in Avon Park, and Sunday School Teacher for many years. She had been a resident of Avon Park since 1980 coming from Wauchula, Fla. She is survived by her husband, R. Forrest Johnson of Avon Park, Fla; daughters and son-in-law, June and Jerry Eldredge of Douglas, Ga., Phyllis Scaggs of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Alice Hodge of Avon Park; sons and daughter-in-law, James W. and Dee Hall of Orange Park, Fla. and Clyde E. Hall, Jr. Sebring; sisters, Betty Crews of Avon Park, Loca Spears of Sebring, Shirley Knight of Wauchula, and Delores Guynn of Wimauma, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007, (1 hour prior to service) in the First Baptist Church of Avon Park. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon Harkey officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Zolfo Springs, Fla. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Avon Park or the charity of your choice.
