Margaret L. Age 85, of Austin Street, Wellsboro, PA, died October 13, 2005 at The Green Home. She was the wife of Allan H. Davis, whom she married March 8, 1949. Margaret was born July 20, 1920 in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Wittermore Atherton. She was a housekeeper at the Canyon Motel, retiring in 1987, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and member of the Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her husband, Allan H. Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie Jane (Harold) Porter, Montrose, PA; brother, Harry Atherton, Beaver Dams, NY; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Florence (Ronnie) Comstock, Wellsboro, PA, Patricia (Carl) Boden, Palmyra, NY, and Virginia (Alfanco) Nieves, Newark, NY; brother-in-law, Lew (Terry) Davis, Newark, NY. Friends and family are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration on Monday, October 17, 2005, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gregory Hinton officiating. Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery.
