Margaret Rutherford Johnson, 96, Lecanto, died Sept 28, 2009, in Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto, FL. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Oct 15, 1912, to the late Oliver and Mary Ellen Rutherford, one of five children, she came to Florida from Lutherville, MD. She was of the Lutheran Faith, an avid horseback rider, and a graduate of the Maryland Art Institure of Baltimore. She loved all kinds of animals and spent many hours donating her time to the Baltimore Co. Humane Society. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Richard) Rector of Crystal River; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two husbands, her parents, three brothers, John, Wilson, and Oliver Rutherford Jr., and her sister, Leila Rutherford Turk. Graveside services will be conducted at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Timonium, MD. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory is in charge of local arrangements.
