Obituary of Margaret Johnson


JOHNSON, Margaret (nee London) (known as Mata). Peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 age eighty-six years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Johnson. Loving mother of Carmen Wills, Dr. Clayton Johnson, Paulette Roberts, Gretel - nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Lorna Gouveia, Rawle, Carol and Dr. Golda Johnson. Dear grandmother of nineteen and great-grandmother of nine. Sister of Howard London, Daisy, Clarence London and the late Princess Blair, and Clara Gouveia. Margaret Johnson was an organist of St. Margaret's Anglican Church in St. Hubert and a piano instructor to many Montreal students. Thanks to Dr. Sahid of the M.G.H., Faith Christian Center, Abundant Life, St. Margaret's Anglican Church, the Verdun Manoir, and staff Post-Partum Floor, R.V.H. Special thanks to Annie Smith, Yvette and many other close friends who gave support during her illness. Resting at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5644 Bannantyne (at Beatty), Verdun, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service complete in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Guyana.
