MARGARET JEAN HENDERSON (nee MURRAY) June 1, 1915 - October 29, 2009 Passed away peacefully at Lakeshore Lodge, Toronto. Born in Chase, British Columbia. Loving wife to the late John Colin; devoted mother of son Andrew (Judy), and daughters Jane (Brian Pollock) and Judi (Jim Osmond). Grandmother of Julia and Sean Morris. She is survived by sister Nena Howe; predeceased by sister Winnie and brother George. Margaret was the youngest daughter of George Davidson and Esther Isabella (Edwards) Murray. The family moved to Chippewa, Ontario where she grew up. After graduating from Niagara Falls Technical School she secured employment as a legal secretary at the firm of Martin & Calvert of Niagara Falls. During the Second World War, she served in the Canadian Women's Army Corps as a legal secretary in the Judge Advocate General's Office in Ottawa. She married John in l947 and they settled in Toronto to raise their family. Margaret and John travelled extensively in both North America and Europe. Margaret was very involved with church work and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends may call at the TURNER & PORTER, BUTLER CHAPEL, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Sunday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road, Etobicoke, on Monday, November 2nd at 11 a.m. Both Margaret and John's ashes will be interred at a later date in Iona, Scotland.
