Margaret J. Harris, 96, of Monroe passed away Tuesday at Monroe Village. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Cranbury, 21 N. Main St., Cranbury, N.J. 08512. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery, 77 Deforest Ave., East Hanover, N.J. 07936. Family and friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co., 22 N. Main St., Cranbury, N.J. 08512. www.saulfuneralhomes.com Born in East Orange, N.J., Margaret resided in Rossmoor section of Monroe Township since 1983. Margaret received her bachelor's and master's degrees from New York University. She worked as an officer for Bankers Trust, New York City, N.Y., with many years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cranbury, delegate to the annual conference of United Methodist Women and Missions and lay speaker since 1979. She was a member the Princeton Club, the New York University Money Marketers and the Alumni Association, was active in Business and Professional Women, Inc., and served as state president from 1978 to 1979. Predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor May Harris and Dorothy H. McCarthy; she is survived by two cousins, Doris Fearon of Hilton Head, S.C. and Calvin Carver of Short Hills, N.J. and two nephews, William V. McCarthy of Allentown, Pa. and Daniel McCarthy of Allentown, Pa.
