HENDERSON, Margaret Sarah It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother on May 25, 2003 at the age of 84. Margaret is survived by her son Harold Henderson of Edmonton; her daughters Marge (Hank) McDermott of Grande Prairie, Joan (Ed) Ragan of Merritt, B.C. and Donna (Jack) Minsky of Edmonton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by loving husband John Douglas Henderson, of 38 years; sister Gladys DeSmet and brother-in-law Rene DeSmet. Margaret was born in Alsask, Saskatchewan on August 3, 1918. She was a long-time member of the Canadian Daughter's League in Chilliwack, B.C. She was also an active member of the Rag Bag Ladies Seniors Group at the Calder Senior Center. She met many life-long friends who enjoyed sewing, painting and crafts. Over the past year and a half she resided at the Sommerset Nursing Home. Funeral Service for the late Margaret Sarah Henderson will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton, Alberta. Viewing service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society, 7024-101 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T6A 0H7.
