HARRIS, (nee Smith), Margaret July 1, 1931 - January 19, 2011 Born in Vancouver, Peggy attended Kitsilano High School and the VGH School of Nursing. She retired in 1990 from Royal Columbian Hospital after many successful years as head nurse of ambulatory care. She had a career that she loved and found challenging and fulfilling. She was a lifelong bridge player, enjoyed extensive world travels, doted on her grandchildren and was an active member of her church. She is survived by her beloved children, Gail (Roy) and Ian (Belinda), her cherished grandchildren Alex, Eric, Michael, Amanda and Bryan. Also left to mourn her is sister Jean, niece Lorene and nephew Randy. Peggy also leaves many friends whom she truly valued and held dear, as well as her precious cat Shadow. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:00pm at Como Lake United Church, 1110 King Albert Ave. Coquitlam.Donations to Children's Hospital in her memory would be appreciated.
