->Mason, Margaret F.Ithaca: Margaret F. Mason, age 92, of Ithaca, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning, January 17, 2012, at Oak Hill Manor. Margaret is the daughter of the late William and Eva Gibbons. Margaret was employed and retired from Cornell University in the School of Industrial & Labor Relations after 31 years of service. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ithaca for over 50 years, and loved teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world and was a wonderful cook. Survivors include her four sons, Russell (Pat) Mason of Lansing, Richard (Karen) Mason of Zephyrhills, FL, Gary (Linda) Mason of Kure Beach, NC, and Bruce Mason of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Alice Dorn. Calling hours will be on Friday, January 20, 6 - 8 p.m. at the Herson Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., Ithaca and at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1019 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca, Saturday morning, January 21st, from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service, which will start at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Paris. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cayuga Heights (weather permitting). Memorials can be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church or Tompkins County SPCA. The family wants to thank the staff and caregivers at Oak Hill Manor for all the love and compassionate care they gave Mom the last three years.
