Obituary of Margaret Erhardt


ERHARDT Margaret A. (nee McCloskey) 95, of Toms River, formerly of Hoboken, died on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Louis A. (2010). Beloved mother of Rita and Gary Poduska, Louis III and Theresa, John and Diane and Paul and Patricia. Loving grandmother of Stephen, Ann-Marie, Louis IV, Megan, Laura, James, Susanne, Daniel, Brain and Sean. Adored great-grandmother of Evan, Tristan and Sophia. Margaret was very active in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Hoboken, where she served on Church Council, The Rosary Society, Choir, Sienna Club and Lecture. She was also a Cub Scout Den mother and sang with the Holiday City Chorus, Toms River. Margaret loved teaching sewing to the students of St. Dominic Academy, Jersey City. The family would like to publicly thank the staff of Care One at Wellington for the wonderful care their mother received. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Tuesday, July 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A funeral service from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 23rd at 8:30 AM and then to Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Hoboken for a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. Donations may be made in Margaret's name to St. Joseph's Home for the Blind, 537 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
