BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret Elmore Carter, 78, of Williams Way, Beech Island, SC, who entered into rest April 19, 2010, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. E. Finley Limehouse officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Carter was a native of Jenkins County having made Beech Island her home for the past 48 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beech Island and retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dearly cared for her family. Mrs. Carter is the daughter of the late Homer Jerone Elmore and Christian Cowart. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, William H. Carter; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Ruth Ann Carter, Juneau, Alaska; two daughters, Barbara Stoudemire and her husband, Norman, Beech Island and Rebecca Carter and her companion, Michael Wroblewski, Martinez; two grandchildren, Bobbie Lee (Kimberly) Malson, III and Christian (Jason) Little; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Stewart and Gabrielle Malson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening from 6 until 8. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, Augusta Chapter, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
