Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief stay at Lions Gate Hospital on August 25, 2012 at the age of 87. Predeceased by Ken, her husband of 64 years (2011). Mom/Grammy will be sadly missed by children Evelyn (Brian), Kathy, Rick (Nancy), and grandchildren Laura, Taylor, Eric, Savanna, Bailey, and many friends. Born on the family farm in Russell, Manitoba on February 4, 1925, Margaret spent her early adult years in Winnipeg where her and Ken met and were married. She taught there and worked as a secretary until their move to Saskatoon. They settled with their family in Vancouver in 1966. Marg and Ken spent many happy years pursuing their love of camping and boating, and their 20 plus years of retirement were filled with travel, adventure and good memories. They will be missed by the wonderful people at Banbury Green, their summertime residence for the past 17 years. Though quiet of voice, Mom had an inner strength we all knew and loved. Her kindness, consideration, and smile we know will be missed by the Residents and Staff at Summerhill Retirement Residence in North Vancouver, where she has lived for the past two years. Our sincerest thanks to you all for the care and thoughtfulness you gave Mom. It came from your hearts and we cannot thank you enough. At Margaret's request there will not be a funeral service. Mom, you will forever be in our hearts and thoughts.
