THOMASVILLE, N.C. - Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Herrington Ramsey, 72, resident of Thomasville, died Saturday at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Ga. after a brief illness. Mrs. Ramsey was born November 5, 1933 in Horry County, S.C., a daughter of Leslie Leroy and Mattie Maybell Gerrald Herrington. She moved to Thomasville from Eden and was a member of Roberts Memorial Baptist Church in Stoneville. She was married to Raymond G. Ramsey, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jean Lane Chavis and husband Randy of Columbia, S.C.; one son, R.D. "Ike" Ramsey and wife Heather of Evans, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Helen Geneva Herrington Harris of Thomasville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Family Funeral Care Chapel, 18 Randolph St., conducted by Reverend Gene Jennings. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
