SHORT Margaret E. "Peggy," 83, of the Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Township passed away at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, January 17, 2009 after a courageous struggle. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1947. She lived many years in Lyndhurst, NJ before retiring to the Toms River area three and a half years ago.She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Eclipse Chapter No. 226, Lyndhurst, NJ; also the Coffee Timers Bowling League in North Arlington, NJ for over 20 years.Surviving are her beloved husband of 62 years, Wilbert, two children and their spouses, Margie and Andy Kraemer, and Bob and Lorraine Short; three grandchildren, Laura Ferrara, Douglas Short and Michael Short; two great-grandchildren, Torrie and Matthew Ferrara; and a sister Edith Conrad of Germany.Visitation will be at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Toms River, 26 Mule Road, Saturday, January 24, 2009 11-12 PM with a service beginning at 12 noon.
