Obituary of Margaret-E. Harris


WALPOLE, N.H. -- Margaret E. Harris, 93, formerly of Applewood Apartments died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Langdon Place in Keene, N.H. She was bom Jan. 14, 1911, in Durham, Me., the daughter of Charles F. and Hazel A. (Jaquith) Harris. She was a graduate of Morse High School. Mrs. Harris worked as a telephone operator in New London, Conn. She was a rnember of Grace Church and choir in Port Orange, Fl., and a member of the Altar Guild of Grace Church. Mrs. Harris lived in Bath, Me., for 17 years before moving to Middletown, Conn. She moved from Connecticut to Daytona Beach, Fl., where she lived for 32 years, before retiring to New Hampshire.On Dec. 31, 1930, she married Gant M. Harris, who died in Aug. 1985. She is survived by one son, Robert C. Harris, of Fountain Valley, Ca., one brother, Norman J. Guynn, of Albuquerque, N.M.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Grant W. Harris, who died in 2002.There will be a memorial service, Monday, April 19, 2004, at the St. Johns Episcopal Church, Walpole, N.H., at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls, is handling the arrangements.Memorial contnbutions in Mrs. Harris' mernory may be made to the St. Johns Episcopal Church, Walpole, N.H. 03608
