PIM, Margaret (nee Carter). 1937-2006. Peacefully, at the West Island Palliative Care Residence, on March 13, 2006, at the age of sixty-eight years. Beloved wife of William Pim. Daughter of the late Margaret Reid and the late James Carter. Her memory will be treasured by her children Barry (Karol Merkus), Linda (Greg Seale) and Heather (Igor Bojanic) as well as her grandchildren Matthew and Courtney Pim and Brittany, Kyle and Taylor Seale. She will be dearly missed by her sister Rosemary (late Donald Bergeron) of Pennsylvania, her sister-in-law Joyce Pim of Montreal, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews from across the United States. She will also be remembered by many friends whose countless visits and kind messages during her brief illness always brought a smile to her face. Her battle with cancer was made easier by the loving care given to her by the nurses, doctors and many dedicated volunteers of the West Island Palliative Care Residence as well as her respirologist, Dr. Harvey Kreisman and the caring staff of 4-Main at the Jewish General Hospital. Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Boulevard in Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Thursday, March 16 from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17 in the Chapel of Rideau Funeral Home at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Burial service private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence or the Quebec Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
