MASON, MARGARET ANN, 65, (father, Darrell Pierce and mother, Margaret Pierce) passed away peacefully on January 14, 2014, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was loved and surrounded by her family. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, caregiver, encourager, and a wonderful mentor. Margaret graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and went on to earn her undergraduate and post graduate degrees at the University of Louisville. She was a former President of the Kentucky Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi. Margaret, a Marketing Consultant for Wood Herron & Evans, LLP, was known for talents in business, finance, insurance, and marketing. She was a member of Audubon Country Club and on the Board of the Legal Marketing Association. Margaret is survived by her husband, John Mason; sister, Marybeth Culbertson; children, Chris (Michele) Brown, Scott (Dre) Brown, Jeff Mason and step-daughter, Kendall Perkins; and grandchildren, Camille, Vivienne, Lucille, Gunner and Baby Jake. Her family would like to thank the Norton Cancer Center and Hospuras for their compassionate care. Her memorial service will be held on January 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 1101 Cherokee Road, Louisville, KY 40204. Visitation at Highland Baptist Church to immediately follow.
