Obituary of Margaret-A. Harris


HARRIS, Margaret A., "Peggy," 72, of Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Dade City. She was born September 16, 1935, in Steubenville, Ohio, to John W. and Elizabeth (McCaffrey) Veneman. She moved to Florida in 1995 from Houston, Texas, and lived in Homosassa, Fla., until 2005. She was a registered nurse, providing loving care her entire adult life. She is survived by her loving husband, Jay C.; her children, Beth Reilly, Steven (Brenda) Harris and Bill (JoAnn) Harris; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Jack, Tom and Mike (Cris) Veneman; sisters, Donna Latkiewicz and Jeanne (David) Jones; and brothers-in-law, Tom (Jean) and David (Norma) Harris. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Welsh; sons, Sean Patrick, Joseph, James and John Welsh; and infant daughter, Harris. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37439 Clinton, Ave., Dade City, FL 33525. The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Highway 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Tampa. Burial will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
