BELL, Marcella Catherine (nee Doherty) Sunday June 4, 2000 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marcella in her 75th year, was surrounded by many friends and family members. Beloved wife of the late John Bell. Loving mother of Brenda (Ronald Boyd) and cherished grandmother of Gregory. Sister-in-law of Margaret Doherty, Alice Bell, Geraldine (Deacon Ted Lindsay), Mary Allen, Mildred Bean (Earl), Grace Reid (Bill), Eileen Gibbons (Carl), Shirley Tanner (Edward), Doris Bell, Joan Bell and Frank Bell (Ivy). Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Good friend of Mark McKenny, Bertha King and Beverly Cummings. Predeceased by her parents Neil Doherty and Harriet McCaffrey, her sisters Mary, Alice Bell and twin Bertha Orr and by brothers Johnny and Michael. Thanks to the staff at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (centretown) Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday to Saint Patrick's Basilica for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Followed by cremation.
