LAVOIE, Marcel Passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Son of the late Athanase Lavoie and the late Leoda Diotte. He was the husband of the late Judith Gravel and spouse of Andree Gagnon. He will be sadly missed by his children Gina (Jeff Jansen), Marc (Anje), Steven (Michele), as well as Andree's children: Edith (Luc St-Louis), Claude (Christine Carbonneau). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Rebecca (Sergio Bernal), Sarah (Tyler), Matthew Jedrasik, Marc and Myriam St-Louis; his great-grandchildren: Joshua and Nathaniel Bernal; his sisters: Monique (Roland Mercier) and Germaine (Larry Peters); his brothers: Roger (Gisele), Guy, Claude (Etta Rose), Paul (Angele Poirier), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Sylvie, his sister Lilianne and his brother Gaston. Marcel served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 24 years and was a member of the Rockliffe Marina for many years. Relatives and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, on Monday, May 24, at 11 a.m., followed by the interment at the parish cemetery.
