MICHAUD, Mr. Marcel Joseph Michaud - 1925 - 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces his death at the Bingham Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Forever remembered by his special friend & companion Lucille Bourgeois of Matheson, as well as his children Peter (Faye) Michaud of Monteith, Raymond (Darleen) Michaud of Matheson, Paul (Denise) Michaud of Matheson, and Dwight (Nicole) Michaud of Timmins. Marcel's legacy was his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He leaves behind Sherri (Rick) Blakey of South Porcupine, Dwayne (Ann) Michaud of Matheson, Troy (Laura) Michaud of Matheson, Tammy (Joey) Desrochers of Reid Lake, Max (Kim) Michaud of Matheson, Andrew Michaud of Val Gagné, Justin (Sarah) Michaud of Timmins, and Jamie (Anita) Michaud of Ottawa to mourn the loss of a very special Grandfather, and Kate & Olivia of South Porcupine, Josie of Matheson, Tiana & Elly Mae of Reid Lake and Takaya & Owen of Timmins, his cherished Great Grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings Yvette (the Late Rocco) Paolini of Ottawa, Roger (Delores) Michaud of London, Wilson (Audrey) Michaud of Orillia and Azilda (Henry) Michaud of Stoney Creek. He was predeceased by his siblings the Late Marianne (the Late Phil) Cté, the Late Julie (the Late Bill) Watts, the late Anita (the Late Bob) King, by his Beloved Wife of 47 Years Reggie Michaud (nee Little), and by his parents Josephat & Victoria Michaud. Marcel was a hard worker his entire life. Not only did he run his cattle farm and work at the Abitibi Mill in Iroquois Falls, he was also the founder of a very successful logging firm Michaud & Sons Contractor Co. Ltd of Monteith, a business still being run today by his children Peter and Paul. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11th, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday May 12th, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Mary Queen of the World Parish in Matheson. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mary Queen of the World Parish, with Father Ghislain Officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Bingham Memorial Hospital or to a Charity of your Choice and would be appreciated by the family.
