Mamie Evaline Vandalia Harris, 95, of 6 Spring St., widow of James W. (Bussie) Harris, passed away January 27, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Albert Lightley and Joyce Naomi Fletcher Pittman. She was retired from J.P. Stevens Piedmont Plant. She was a member of Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church for 53 years where she taught the young married couples class for 23 years.Surviving are daughter, Shirlene Bargiol and husband, Jack of Anderson; grandchildren, Rebecca Bellotte of Seneca, Mark Bargiol and John Bargiol, Jr., both of Anderson; five great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by brothers, Roy, Charlie, Elmore, Samuel Pittman; sisters, Ella Mae Blackstone, Ione Capps, Dorothy Pittman.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at the funeral home chapel.
