Obituary of Mamie-Blake-Williams Carter

Services for Mamie Blake Williams Carter 89 will be Wednesday July 16 2003 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dan Bruce. Burial will follow in the Cypress Cemetery in Crockett County. Mrs. Carter a former dental assistant for Dr. William LaFont died Sunday evening in West Tennessee Transitional Health Care. She was born in Crockett County daughter of the late John Smithton and Mamie Snowbird McCrary Williams and received her education in the Crockett County schools. Most of her life had been spent in Jackson. Mrs. Carter was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons James Smithton Carter of Marietta GA Frank Norris Carter and wife Jean of Memphis and Kenneth Latham Carter and wife Cynthia of Cleveland TN; two sisters Lenora Reams of Bells and Margaret Clyce of Alamo; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
