Maggie LaVere Warren, age 85, of West Frankfort, IL. passed away Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:48 p.m. at the Frankfort Care Center in West Frankfort, IL. She was born May 26, 1923 in Johnston City, IL. to Fee Columbus and Luvenie Self Canaday. She was a member of Monroe Street Church of God for many years and currently a member of Faith Assembly Fellowship in West Frankfort. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was at her best and happiest on Saturday mornings when she was serving biscuits and gravy to her boys. Maggie is survived by four sons and daughter-in-laws: Terry and Kay Warren, Gary and Terry Warren, Jack and Linda Warren all of West Frankfort, IL, Larry and Janice Warren of Tayloville, IL.; loving sister-in-laws: Fay Feuquay and Joy McCormick both of West Frankfort; eleven grandchildren: Melanie Poole, Jerry Dale Warren, Jennifer Sailliez, Julie Warren, Michael Ernest Warren, Isaac Warren, Steven Warren, Benjamin Warren, Leah Warren, Andrea Warren and Alecia Warren; four great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Poole, Kyle and Jackson Sailliez, and Mersadez Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Warren on October 23, 2005; son Jerry Warren; parents; Brothers Fred, Archie, Johnnie, Jerry, Oscar, Felix, William, Delmar and Nathan; sisters Perna Mae, Helen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Faith Assembly Fellowship Church in West Frankfort, IL with Rev. Gene Cowsert and Rev. Troy Cobb officiating. Interment will be in the Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort, IL. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort and Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home. She will be missed by all those that stand in need of prayer!
