Maggie Jean Brown Miller-Pointer, age 71, Daytona Beach, passed away on September 13, 2009. A memorial service in her honor will be held Friday, September 25, 2009; 6:00 p.m., at 605 Vera St., Daytona Beach, FL. Maggie Jean was born in Greenville, FL to Daisy Brown Miller and J. Miller. She was educated in Philadelphia, was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. As an adult she earned her degree in Human Resourses which brought her to the south. She enjoyed bowling and pinochle but most of all traveling and recently fulfilled her dream to visit Africa. Maggie was diligent in keeping her Philadelphia friends and family close to her, especially her "sister" Shirley. She is preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Karen Pointer, and leaves behind to cherish her memory two children; Toni Dianne Pointer and Christopher Parker; seven grandchildren; Brie, Monet, Breianna, Cory, Cody, Dorian and Tonki; two cousins; Timothy and Joyce Ford; a sister, Shirley Richardson; and close friends, Virginia Williams, Rosetta Thurmond, Hortense Geter, and Walter Chisholm; and many other friends who morn her passing.
