BELL Mae P. Bell, 80, returned to the Lord on July 6th at Community Hospice-McGraw Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John V. Bell, Jr. Mae was born in Polk County Fl. on October 27th, 1927 to William and Nancy Parker. She graduated from Columbia High School. After graduation she moved to Jax. to attend Jones Business College. She had a long career as a bookkeeper and retired from the Jax. Port Authority. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her love of family and faith were an inspiration and example to all who loved her. She was a member of St. Paul UMC since 1962 where she was active in her Circle and her Sunday School class. She is survived by her children: Nancy (Jerry) Hemenway of Sarasota, Larry (Gail) Bell of Tallahassee, Janet(Robert) Miller, and Kathy (Dan) Lowe of Fernandina Beach. She leaves behind nine Grandchildren and seven great grandchildren who loved her very much. She also leaves behind three loving sisters; Janice Carter of Naples, Fl., Joyce (Moody) Fisher of Coral Springs, and Iris Garrett of Ft. Myers. There will be a memorial service at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Saturday July 19th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul UMC or Community Hospice.
