Mae Joyce Carter, 78, of 209 North A. Street, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at her home. Born in Anderson County, Ms. Carter was a daughter of the late John Henry and Lena Beasley Carter. She was retired from Piedmont Industries and was a member of DayStar Baptist Fellowship.Surviving are a son, Michael Lee Carter, of Greenwood; two brothers, Jasper Carter and J.B. Carter, both of Easley; and a sister, Azalee Anders, of Easley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Carter was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.The family is at the home of a niece, Dot Trotter, 210 Woodberry Circle, Easley, SC 29642.Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown, is assisting the family with arrangements.
