BROOKS Mable Julia Brooks, 68, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born March 1, 1945 in Orlando, Florida to the late Marion & Beatrice Martin. Mable had lived in Jacksonville for the past 60 years, was a member of Christ Fellowship and the Bit & Spur Saddle Club and she loved ceramics. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Brooks, Sr. and her sister, Mary Bowen. Survivors include her sons, Alfred Brooks, Jr. and Carlo Bommarito; daughters, Deborah Brooks and Tami Deen (Kevin); sisters, Barbara Mazzola (Dick) and Iva Newman (Jim); 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27 at 11AM in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral home, 405 New Berlin Road, with Pastor Josh Hutchinson officiating.
