SMITH, Mabel Violet (nee Benson) Mom went to be with Jesus on October 2, 2010. Born in Parkside, Sask. on December 7, 1930, she moved to BC in the 50's where she resided for her adult life. Survived by her daughter, Carol Cassidy (Greg), her sister Esther (Bergie), brothers Adolf (Esther) and Arthur (Bodil), and extended family Sherry and Cindy and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herman and Anna Benson, brothers Ralph (Alice), Ed (Doris), and sisters Dora (Arnie), Mary (Joe) and Ellen (Norman). Special thanks to the palliative team at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Laurel Place, Peoples Church Support group, her Friends, and Beverley and Valentina for their TLC.
