PETERS--Muriel, Born Muriel Burns in New York City, died on November 1, 2014. Daughter of Rose and Joe Burns; sister of Nellie Goldstein. Loved by all, but married to, and loved and adored by Allan Peters. After being widowed, Muriel started work with her long time friend, Leona Helmsley, in real estate. Later she worked for Glenwood Management for several decades. She was one-of-a-kind. A glamorous card shark who was considered one of the best female gin players on the east coast. Muriel was also a best friend to many great New York City Italian restaurants. We raise a glass to this fabulous woman who will be missed by all!
