BRYANT-FITCH, MRS. POLLY MAE Polly Mae Bryant Fitch, age 65 of Dolomite, Al, passed away February 11, 2012. Polly graduated from Brighton High School and furthered her education by earning degrees from Alabama A&M University, UAB and Auburn University. Polly was an educator in the Bessemer City School system, teaching at J.S. Abrams and Jess lanier High School before retirement. Polly transitioned into heaven, joining her mother, Inez Bryant and siblings, Infant Tommy Lee Bryant and Helen Bryant Moore. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Manual Fitch: father Willie Bryant of Bessemer, AL; two brothers: Charlie(Pauline) Bryant, Sr. of Bessemer, AL and Melvin(Dr. Carolyn) Bryant of Collerville, TN; four sisters: Delois(Herbert)Kidd of Bessemer, AL, Bernice(Hudson) Kelley of Hawthorne, CA, Inez Gray of Birmingham, AL and Velma(Mack) Bibbs of Bessemer, AL,; three aunts: Josie Orr of Cleveland, OH, Rosie Blocker of Akron, OH, and Luella Doss of Bessemer, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Polly was a proud member of Zeta Phi Sorority, Inc. A special service will be held from 6-9 p.m at the chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 12 noon, at the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 824 15th Street, North, Bessemer, AL with Pastor Douglas Caddell, officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. >>
