HOOKS, MR. JOSEPH Age 78, of Birmingham, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012. He was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Roosevelt City. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline G. Hooks; daughters, Beverly A. (Eufemio) Rico, Monica D. (Eric) Studimire, and Traci L. (Timothy) Washington; son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Hooks; sisters, Inez (Paul) Kimbrough, Estella (Clarence) Jackson and Sharon (Terry) Davis; two sisters-in-law, Queen Oliver and Dottie (Larry) Thomas; brother, Flozell (Roberta) Hooks; two brothers-in-law, Willie P. (Mattie) Glover and Larry Glover; and ten grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 12:00 Noon from the church, 6001 Warner Street, Roosevelt City. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Reverend Claude Billups presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00-7:00 PM. Arrington Funeral Home, Inc. directing. >
