CARTER, Mildred Hughes, age 78, of New Hope departed this life on December 7, 2005, in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owin Vernon Carter. She is survived by her three children, Franklin (Phyllis) Carter, Faye (He-rman) Hall, Wayne (Jan) Carter, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Earlene (Milton) Brog-don. Visitation will be at Dillard Fu-neral Home in Brundidge on Thurs-day, December 8, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be at New Hope Baptist Church on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Mack King and Reverend Ray Stin-son officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
