Michael J. Werbiskis, III, 54, Feeding Hills, passed away Monday, January 17th, 2011 after a courageous 15 month battle with brain cancer. Born in Holyoke, MA, Michael was the son of Michael J. Werbiskis, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL, and the late Jan (Boczon) Werbiskis, who passed away in 2005. Mike was a 1974 graduate of South Hadley High School, and received his BS Degree in Industrial Engineering from Western New England College in 1987. He was employed at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, CT for over 20 years. Mike had a passion for golf, hockey, music, guitars, and the beach. Besides his father, Mike is survived by his wife of 13 years, Lori (Dupre) Werbiskis; their children, Michael J. Werbiskis IV and Jessica Werbiskis; two brothers, Richard Werbiskis and his wife Stephanie of West Springfield, MA, and Gary Werbiskis of South Hadley, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Mike's Life on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01102 or the DeQuattro Community Cancer Center, 73A Haynes St., Manchester, CT 06040.
