ADAMS, MARY SUSAN, 84Gainesville - Mary Susan Adams, age 84, passed away on May 25, 2014 in Gainesville, FL. She was born in Elgin, IL. to John J. and Marion M. (Dubois) Peabody. She filled her life with the people and things for which she cared deeply including her family, friends, books and art. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 20 years Donald C. Smith; her children Susan (John C.) Wolfe of Houston, TX, William G. (Nadine) Adams of Naperville, IL, Melanie (Luis Aguilar) Adams of Elgin, IL, Timothy Adams of Athens, GA; her grandchildren Katherine Wolfe, Nathan Adams, Sean Adams, Brandon Aguilar and Ahlea Aguilar. She is also survived by her siblings Robert C. Peabody, Richard E. Peabody, Manon "Bunni" Sommers, and Charles W. Peabody. She was preceded in death by her siblings Joan C. Gombarick, John D. Peabody, Thomas F. Peabody and Joseph G. Peabody. There will be no services as the family wishes to grieve privately. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Docent Enhancement Program at the Harn Museum of Art.
