HOOPER, Mary Joyce, was born April 15, 1956 to the late Coylene Reed in Clanton, AL. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Clanton, AL. She served faithfully at Community Congregational Church of Christ, Montgomery, AL.She served proudly in the U.S. Army from October 1978 to May 1987. Achieving the rank of SSG. Her tours of duty included Germany, Egypt and Fort Sill, OK, until she was med-ically retired. She departed this life on Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Montgomery, AL.She leaves to cherish memories a loving husband, Ellis Hooper of Montgomery, AL; two daughters, Shea of Montgomery and SSG La-trese Alexander (Tony) of Fort Polk, LA; a stepson, Carlos Webb (Tracy) of Memphis, TN; a stepdaguther, Ta-juana Robinson (Donald) of Chica-go, IL; a loving brother, Johnny Marvin Reed (Mary) of Columbia, SC; and a sister, Linda Jean Walker of Clanton, AL; one stepbrother, Eli-jah Alexander; and a stepsister, Theresa Brandy both of Birming-ham, AL; three granddaughters, Myrika and Aniyah of Fort Polk, LA, Keyahanna of Nashville, TN; four step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom she loved dear-ly.Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 30, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Community Congregational Church of Christ, Montgomery, AL. Burial will follow in Eastwood Ceme-tery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29, 2006 from 6:00 until 7:00 at Montgomery Memorial Funeral Home.Montgomery Memorial Directing
