TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Eloise Davis Burgess, 91, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim McClain officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Burgess passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Talladega, where she was a member for 64 years. She taught Sunday School and volunteered in many activities at the church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Burgess and great grandson, Seath Lee Miller. She is survived by her son, Mike Burgess of Alpine; daughter, Judy Mock of Talladega, granddaughters, Mindy Scoggings (Jimmy) of Helena, Susan Mock of Talladega, Robin Jones of Pelham, Christy Bramblett (Ben) of Maryville, Tn.; grandsons, Michael Burgess of Alpine, John Mock (Amanda) of Perdido, Fl., Jeremy Burgess of Homewood, Great-Granddaughters, Jennifer Garrett (Jamie) of Helena, Mereith Smith (Scott) of Talladega, Lauren Sims (Elliott) of Birmingham, Lindsay Edmonds (Mark) of Birmingham, Mary Mock of Talladega, Sara Mock of Talladega; great-grandsons, Jason Scoggins (Denise), Camden Jones of Hoover, John David Mock of Talladega, Eli Mack of Talladega; great- great-grandchildren, Reed and Rhett Garrett of Helena, Brady and Carson Smith of Talladega, Her Namesake Mary Eloise Scoggins due July 5th. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 9 am - 10 am. Pallbearers are Camden Jones, Jason Scoggins, Jamie Garrett, Reed Garrett, Elliott Sims, Mark Edmonds.
