Obituary of Mary-Elizabeth-Britt Carter


CARTER, Mary Elizabeth Britt, age 82, passed away on November 1, 2002 in a local nursing home after a brief illness. She was born in El-more County and had been a resi-dent of Montgomery since 1957. She was the widow of John Madi-son Carter who died on October 29, 2002.She is survived by one daughter, Ann C. Barnett of Neenah, WI; grandchildren, Alice Carter Bonnell of Fort Stewart, GA, William Tanker-sley Carter of Hope Hull, AL, Amanda Clair and Jacquelyn Ann Barnett of Austin, TX, Robyn Eliza-beth Barnett of Neenah, WI; great-grandson, James Carter Bonnell; two nieces, Mrs. William Donald Jacobs of Cove Breeze, FL and Mrs. Don Ivy of Hope Hull, AL and one nephew, Clyde Anderson Mosley of Mt. Holley, NJ. Mrs. Carter was predeceased by her son, James William Carter of Hope Hull, AL.Mrs. Carter retired from the Mont-gomery County Family Court, Non-Support Division and was a memb-er of Trinity Presbyterian Church.The family requests the omission of flowers and memorials may be sent to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mrs. Carter's memory. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Fam-ily and Friends will assemble at the graveside. Rev. Stanley Hartman will officiate.Leak-Memory Chapel Directing
