Mary Casey, a Pearl River resident for 27 years, formerly of the Bronx died on August 3, 2001. Born in Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland on December 28, 1908 to Edward and Mary McDonald Durkan. Retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in 1973 after 24 years of service. Predeceased by her loving husband, Fred in 1952 and a daughter, Mary Josephine in 1937. Devoted mother of Lillian Santini of Pearl River and Frederick, formerly of New City. Survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Teresa O'Malley and a brother, Hubert Durkan, both of Ireland. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
