HOOD, MARY ANNA - 94, of Maryville, passed away Friday evening, December 26, 2014, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a school teacher in the Blount County School system for forty years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Max A. Hood and daughter, Mary E. Thomas. She is survived by her son, Max Ray Hood of Augusta, Georgia; and daughter, Martha Ann Justice of Knoxville; sisters, Elizabeth Wheeler of Maryville and Josephine Edwards of Cleveland, TN; grandsons, Jonathan D. Walker of Knoxville and Kevin A. Thomas of Maryville; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville on Monday, December 29. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with memorial service beginning at 2:00. The Reverend Tony Collins will officiate.
