WEST MILFORD — Services were held for Martha Parker, 92, of this township, who died on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Mrs. Parker was a seamstress at the Butler Knitting Mill and at the Hard Rubber Mill, both in Butler, for many years. Also, she was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, West Milford, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8096 Ladies Auxiliary, West Milford, as well. Services were Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Milford. Arrangements were by the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, Newfoundland. Donations may be sent to the family to offset funeral expenses. Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Jane Courtright of Florida; her stepson, James of Hamburg; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lester Romain; her second husband, James Parker; her parents, Agnes and William Marion; and her brothers and sisters, Howard, Jim, Charlie, Amos, Bernice, Elsie, Gussie, and Florence.
