->Williams, Marie R.Marie R. Williams, 96, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at her daughters residence in Hobe Sound, Fl. Marie Williams was born in North Tonawanda, NY in 1915, she received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Suny Cortland. Marie then moved to Katonah, NY where she taught P.E. for several years before marrying her late husband Kim Williams. She then devoted her life to raising her family and participating in the life of the United Methodist Church in Katonah. In her later years she lived with family in Pleasantville, NY and attended the United Methodist Church in that town, and then moved to Hobe Sound, Fl with her daughter.Survivors include her 6 children, Kim Williams and his wife Julie of Brookline, NH, Bonnie O'Shea of Pleasantville, NY, Wendy Williams of Hobe Sound, FL, Tom Williams and his wife Susan of West Arlington, VT, Ray Williams and his wife Pat of Bomoseen, VT, and Robin Fleming and her husband Greg of Pleasantville,NY, 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, August 8,2011 at the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, 70 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Maher Funeral Home , 117 Washington Avenue, Pleasantville, NY at 10 AM Monday August 8,2011. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale,NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Treasure Coast Hospice,1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL,34997.
