MARGUERITE ROSE FRECHETTE - BURLINGTON - Marguerite Rose Frechette, 86, of Burlington, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Birchwood Terrace Heathcare. She was born in Canada on April 26, 1926, the daughter of Wilbrod and Rose (Vendette) St. Onge. On Sept. 5, 1949, she was married to Roland "Bob" Frechette, who predeceased her on Oct. 1, 2007. Marguerite worked for many years for the Burlington Free Press, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Mark Parish. She also participated in many activities at Heineburg Senior Center. She is survived by a daughter and her spouse, Claire and Dennis Hammond of Burlington; four grandsons and their spouses, Brett and Amy Pelkey of Bakersfield, Marc Pelkey of St. Albans, Eric Hammond and fiancée, Brittany Curran, and David Hammond and fiancée Sarah Mongeon; brother, George St. Onge and wife, Evangeline; sister, Yolande Paquette and husband, George; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Bernier of South Burlington, and Rita St. Onge of Enosburg; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Pelkey; and brother, John St.Onge. Marguerite will be remembered for her unfailing love and support of family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 8, 2013, at 12 noon in St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Burlington.
