Margaret R. Kirby, 90, formerly of Mount Vernon died on November 27, 2001 at the Victoria Nursing Home in Ossining. She was born on June 3, 1911 to Annie and William Hanley in New York City. She was the loyal wife of the late Joseph Kirby. Margaret was the loving mother of three children: Mary Barrett, Joseph Kirby, and Jane Collins. She was the also the devoted grandmother of Taryn Young, Joseph and Daniel Kirby and the late Jeremy Young. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentleness and sense of humor. Visiting hours will be at Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday between the hours of 2-5 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter and Paul Church on Thursday, November 29th. Interment at Gate of Heaven. Friends who wish may contribute to the Recording for the Blind or The Special Olympics.
