Margaret Murphy HAMILTON - Margaret Peterson Murphy, 85, of Hamilton passed away into God's loving arms on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at home. Born in Trenton on Aug. 23, 1927, she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Murphy graduated from Cathedral High School. She worked at Bell Telephone and was a vocalist and organist at many local Catholic churches for many years. She was a very talented musician and artist. Mrs. Murphy was a very beloved and devoted wife and mother. Daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Peterson, she was recently predeceased on Aug. 4, 2012, by her husband of 63 years, George J. Murphy Jr., mother of the late Sheila, Patricia, and Peter Murphy, she is survived by her children, George J. Murphy III and his wife, Elise, of Fairfax, VA, Maureen Richardson and her husband, Thomas, of Hamilton, Christine Pringle of St. Augustine, FL, Paul M. Murphy, Margaret A. Murphy, and Philip J. Murphy, all of Hamilton, and Thomas A. Murphy of Boca Raton, FL; eight grandchildren, Katherine Jagger, Michael Murphy, Elizabeth Murphy, Daniel and David Richardson, Riordan and Drew Pringle, and Evan Langan; one great-grandson, Levi Jagger; brother, Joseph Peterson; brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Mary Ann Peterson; many nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed. The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at 9 a.m. from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Rd. in Yardville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the memorial chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
