Margaret Lee Holbert Cox, 81, of Oakleaf Village at Thornblade, and formerly of 2844 Carroll Creek Road, Gray, Tennessee, died Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Mill Springs, N.C., Mrs. Cox was a daughter of the late T.J. and Myrtle Pack Holbert. She graduated from Boones Creek High School, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Cox was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church. Surviving are one son, Johnny H. Cox, M.D. of Easley; one daughter, Donna J. Smith of Johnson City, Tennessee; three grandchildren, David Allen Smith of Gray, Tenn., Thomas Eric Smith of Johnson City, Tenn. and Sarah E. Cox of Easley; and two great-grandchildren, Shelby Smith and David W. Smith. Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her husband, Willie Herman Cox; one brother, Kenneth T. Holbert; and one sister, Betty Gretar. Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m.. Wednesday at Washington County Memory Gardens in Gray, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boones Creek Christian Church Building Fund, 305 Christian Church Road, Gray, Tennessee 37615.
